This Swedish canvas & leather rucksack designed in the 1930’s and used in WWII remains a classic to this day. A simple single-bucket canvas pack, affectionately known as the ‘Moose Sack” for this simple shape, it is a fantastic vintage-styled pack for modern use.

Characterised by it’s tough canvas, and a wide range of very functional leather straps and fittings, including bedroll straps below and side straps for carrying an axe or securing a poncho, waterproof or tarp.

The pack has a unique shoulder and sternum strap harness system, all made from the most beautiful high quality and now aged leather. The main bucket closes simply with a thick drawstring and a very effective back suspension system in leather fitting to the very robust steel tubed frame.

These are now of considerable age although they were issued to Swedish troops right up to the early 1970’s, testament to the usability and robustness of this pack – like our other military vintage packs this one has been well tested and proven! Many that remain are now in a tired state or damaged, with repairs to the canvas, bent frames (they don’t break generally, but can get bent) damaged or dried out leather and other issues.
