Joseph M. Herman Shoe Company of Millis, MA got it's start way back in 1879. Their trademark expired in 1993 but not before they supplied most of the boots US soldiers wore in WW2 and created iconic boots like the Survivor. These shoes are likely from the late 60's-early 70's. They sport the authentic red label sewn onto the tongue. The sole is made of oil resistant "Silvato" by Vibram. The leather quite thick and unfortinatly has mould spots from storage (extent of spotting will vary from pair to pair). The 4 sided brass shoelace eyelets have some surface oxidation. Shoelaces appear to be original and are in good condition. Leather insole is in nice condition and is marked 'HERMAN'
