This territory flag is perfect for flying next to your Australian flag any day of the week.
Adopted after self governance was granted on July 1st 1978, this flag consists of the Territorian colours of red, white and ochre. The Southern Cross appears as five white panels stars on a black panel at the hoist, while ochre fills the remainder of the flag. Set on the ochre backdrop in the fly is a Sturts Desert rose, the Territorian Flower – also known as Australian cotton or the Darling River rose – stylised to represent the commonwealth star, with seven white petals surrounding a seven pointed black core.
