The US military first introduced the M65 design from 1965 (who'd of thunk?) and fast forwarding to the 2000's when they were changing camouflage they must of thought - if its not broke, why change it? The jackets design is largely unchanged bar a few tweaks such as removal of shoulder epaulettes and adding some hook & loop on so Gen Y kids could go crazy chucking patches on!
